DC Gearmotors - You can replace or upgrade existing motors in your AI-01. Or use these motors for general robotics purposes. There are three flavors, all with the same form factor and 0.1" locking plug header. All motors are 4.14 x 1.25 x .91 inches, with 3 mounting holes sized for #6/32 screws. Color coded wires distinguish the 3 motor types. Detailed mechanical drawing can be downloaded with link below.

This is the Hi Speed motor, used on the AI-01 throwing arm, but you can use these motors to replace the drive motors on your AI-01 and beef him up to over twice the speed of the stock drive motors, with plenty of torque left over to push against other bots. Specs (based on 9.6V): No load speed 720 RPM, Stall Torque: 2.0 Kgf*cm, Average current 110 mA (start up current ~1A for 50 ms). Wire color: Yellow and black. |

The Hi Torque motor powers the non-throwing (left) arm of the AI-01. This ox is slow moving but very powerful. An excellent choice DC gearmotor for hobby robots where torque is more important than speed. Specs (based on 9.6V): No load speed 64 RPM, Stall Torque: 7.0 Kgf*cm, Average current 170 mA. Wire color: Blue and black. |

The AI-01 comes with a pair of these Standard Drive Motors. They are a good middle range motor, bridging the gap between the hi speed and hi torque motors. Specs (based on 9.6V): No load speed 350 RPM, Stall Torque: 4.9 Kgf*cm, Average current 200 mA. Wire color: Red and black. |

This is an official RFL 3 pack of balls. It's rough out there on the field, and robots just don't care about the ball. Sometimes it gets smushed between two bots slamming head on. Pick up a set of these spares for when bad things happen to good balls. They are also handy when you are practicing your QB pass. It cuts down on the "fetch and try again" cycle time. |

This pair of 2 ½ inch diameter wheels is mighty handy. They fit on all of the Active Innovations motors as well as on the Solarbotics GS series of motors. Ours add 6 mounting points, sized for #6 screws for mounting stuff (like a Roman chariot scythe?, You bet!). Bolt these onto existing AI-01 bot wheels and turn him into a "dualie" for added stability and traction. Great for general robotics use. |

Skins (Jerseys) The AI-01 "skins" are customizable jerseys for your robot that you can mount onto your bot. These are clear 0.3" thick Lexan sheets that you paint in the color and pattern as you like. Add your favorite pro or college team colors to your bot, or create your own design. You paint on the inside and the outside gives a glossy look, while protecting the paint on the other side. You just peel protective film from the back, paint in reverse, trim using the outline on the front side film, then peel off the front protective film. Laser aiming Make your AI-01 a "terminator" with Sparkfun's laser pointer and shoulder mount. The laser plugs into the AI-01's AUX port on the back panel. When you press the joystick button on the remote, the laser fires. Use this for quick throw aiming, or just look really cool.
